Very little current this morning. The open beach had some fun waves yesterday, might be the same today. Water temp a chilly 60 degrees this morning. I had to dig out my unmbrella today, I dont know about you but I was shocked. Surf is knee high and ridable on a longboard. Tide is dropping this morning its offically low @ 1:02pm (0ft), and then starts raising again. Water temp is 86. Winds should be 5-10 all day.

Sat.7/4/09 9:00AM- Surf has picked up to around waist high and very sloppy with some current to the north but very nice clear green water despite the increase in winds. Winds on the beach are already 15-20mph from the south and water temp is at 84 degrees. The wind was under 5 mph this morning, making the water really glassy. Unfortunately the waves are still under knee high, only coming in about ankle to calf high. Water temp. is 83, and it is HOT! Tides today are high @ 4:27am (1.7ft) and low @ 7:15pm (-0.6ft).

Tues.6/30/09.9:30AM - Another repeat like yesterday- surf is ankle to barely knee high but good for the kiddo's or some tiny longboard rides- Hot & sunny with clear green water and really light winds this morning and not too much more wind later this afternoon. Water temp at 76-77 this morning but warming up in the afternoons lately to 82-83 degrees. Today's tides are high 12:14am 1.1ft low 5:17am 1ft high 8:24am 1ft low 4:57pm -0.2ft +++ Tropical disturbance we've been following has pretty much dissappeared last night and does'nt look likely to reform, but the coastal forecasts do indicate a small increase in wind swell Friday and thru the weekend+++

Mon.6/29/09.9:30AM- Surf still teeny weeny-ankle to chin high and does'nt look to be picking up the next couple days. Water temp at 78-79 dgerees this morning with light SE winds at 5-10mph today's tides are low 3:16am 0.7ft high 8:37am 1ft low 4:11pm 0.1ft +++Maybe some surf later in the week as tropical wave in the southern gulf is slowly drifting our direction but it is very weak and not expected to develop so we'll have to keep watching the next few days to see if our surf chances improve.+++

Sun.4/26/09 9:00AM- BIG and bouncy this morning with onshore SE winds blowing 25-35mph already. -So a very windy swell and it looks bigger than yesterday- head high to overhead drops for sure today and some current to the north but not too bad and prolly fightable if the wind stays straight onshore. Very high tide on the beach with water up to dunes and parking lots early this morning but tide suppposed to drop all afternoon. Water temp at 76 degrees and todays tides are high 6:32am 2.2ft and low 10:15pm -0.4ft

Tue 3/31/09 10:00am -Surf today was waist to chest high, clean with light 5-10mph north winds and pretty fun this morning but the north winds were starting to pick up a little to 10-15mph at report time... it may blow it out whenever they really pick up to 15-25+mph north. Sat.3/7/09 9:00AM- Surf this morning was sloppy chest to shoulder high and a little current going north but not too bad -fightable at pier or wall and N.Pack washing machine was not bad either -pretty fun waves. Tide was kinda low but is coming in now thru 3pm. Winds are MUCH less on the beach than in town... only blowing SSE around 15-18mph. Today's tides are low 5:39am -0.6ft and high 3:04pm 1.6ft +++TGSA Pt.A.open is going on at Horace Caldwell today and tomorrow.

Sun. 2/15/09 9:00AM- Cooler with drizzly 20mph north winds, grey skies and small surf running only about thigh high this morning... bit of an ugly beach day... but there's a good chance the surf will get a little bigger thru today and you prolly won't have to share the lineup with too many others cuz most will wanna wait for a warmer day. Currently the remnants of our small SE windswell are getting slowly turned NE and will grow from the strong N-NE frontal winds today and become more easterly thru tues.
