5/16/08 Surf today is running chest high and maybe a little bigger on the sets sweeping down the beach going south hard north winds are on it so it is choppy and sloppy but could get bigger with the winds turning a little more East throughout the day. Jellyfish were really bad stop on by and get yea some of the safe sea sunblock it really works protects you from geting stung. SURF REPORT for May 14th, Wed. Waves are about waist to stomach with a slight south current. Slight northen bump and kinda sloppy this morning, could get better with a changing tide. Tues.5/13/08.10:00AM- Surf has picked up a bit to waist to chest high this morning... SE winds 15-20mph so it's still sloppy but not really any current. Water temp at 77 degrees and four tides today- Low 4:49am 0.50ft, High 11:51am 1.38ft, Low 6:25pm 0.85ft, High 11:39pm 1.24ft BEWARE OF THE JELLYFISH- Alot of reports of the small under water jellies lately and word at Packery jetties this morning is they were bad near the jetty, none from elsewhere yet, but there were numerous reports of jellies all the way to Bob Hall pier within the last few days.

A mild front pushing thru today, the NNE winds are already blowing 10-15 this morning and it should'nt be as hot. The winds are supposed to blow harder at the offshore bouyes and pick up the seas, possibly an increase in swell from the north and it maybe better/bigger later today. SUNDAY,4/27/08,9:00AM- Decent longboarding as the surf has dropped alot, it is thigh to maybe waist high this morning and pretty weak... winds were only about 10-15 from the ESE so the conditions were'nt too choppy but definitely on the slow side. Water temp at 76 dgerees and the next tide is High at 11:48am(+1.83ft) and Low again after midnight. +++Nice & sunny out for now but a cool front expected to hit later today after noon sometime and bring some thunderstorms and strong NE-North winds, which will drastically alter things...+++

Sat. 4/12/08 9:00AM- Front finally blew in last night and brought the hard N winds so this morning is of course victory at sea conditions. Waves are chest high plus and sweeping down the beach to the south with 25-30mph NNE winds. It should turn out to be a pretty nice day except for the hard winds- a bit cooler out but nice and sunny still. The water temp still around 72 degrees and the high tide coming in around 1pm... Waves were waist high on sets and breaking fairly clean on the inside bar, SE winds were less than 10mph... tides pretty high and water temp at 73 degrees. Sat.3/15/08.9:00AM- Looked very small from the beach with light west winds this morning but there was fun waist with chest high sets breaking on south side of B Hall pier, bigger than it looked with super clean conditions and still good as of this report time- it should hold up thru the day but the winds are'nt gonna stay offshore all day, they are supposed to go North by the afternoon. Great conditions for spring break... super sunny out and the air temp supposed to hit 90 degrees today and water temp was already at 68 degreees this morning!!! Tides are Low 4:01am -0.49ft High 2:37pm 1.83ft Winds will be back to hard onshore again tomorrow and forecast is for building surf the next couple of days and another chance for west winds Tuesday with seas 8-10feet, ....we'll see ;)

Surf Report for Thursday, Feb. 28th. Winds picked up out of the SE overnight and will be gusty all day 15-30. The surf is thigh to waist and should increase throughout the day. Alot more swell offshore missing us and heading to the south. Winds are supposed to go NE later today, and we should see a little more size by monday and into the next couple days. Tues.1/8/07.10:00AM- Surf is much like yesterday morning but the winds are lighter- chest to over head high on the sets and very poor form this morning mainly due to a low tide... Light SSE winds at 5-10mph. Winds should be switching to Northwest in the next couple hours by noon or so, and the tide will be coming up all day(Tides are Low at 8:23am -0.80ft and High at 6:06pm 1.54ft). Don't wait too late too get on it as the forecast is unclear on how long the West winds will hold before going North... Water temp is up to 63 degrees.
